Director Dr. Sumita Saha said that she has made the screenplay of this film on the concept of her mother Muktimayi Saha. After making some short films, this is the first time that Dr. Sumita Saha has directed a full-length film. However, Sumita has admitted that she does not have the traditional education of film directing but she has tried to make a good film with everyone’s help. Sumita hopes that the audience will like the film.
Sanjeev Sarkar, Chandraniv Mukherjee, Sushmita Roy, Shyamal Chakraborty, Jhulan Bhattacharya and Suparna Dey acted in various roles in the film ‘Matrirupen’.
