A grand religious procession was organized in Kolkata on the occasion of Swami Pranabanandaji's birth anniversary and Shivratri on March 24, 2025

Kolkata, 24th February, 2025 : A grand colorful procession was held in South Kolkata to mark the 130th birth anniversary of Swami Pranavananda Maharaj, the founder of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha. At the forefront of the procession were mounted monks.

Thousands of devotees, students from various schools, colleges, clubs, Milan temples participated. Many people from different districts of the state joined this procession. Dhamsa madals from Purulia and Bankura and idols of various deities were special attractions.
The procession started in front of the head office of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha at Ballyganj, Kolkata on Monday around 1:30 PM. Then Rasbihari Avenue, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Road, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road, Ramesh Mitra Road, Sarat Bose Road, Hazra Road and ends at Ballygunge again.
Swami Biswatmananda Maharaj, General Secretary of the Sangha started the procession from Ballyganj. Local Councilor Sudarshana Mukherjee was present. Swami Viswatmananda Maharaj said that this procession is on the occasion of Swami Pranabananda Jayanti and Shivratri.
A two-day Hindu Dharma Education Culture Conference has been organized on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Sangha's head office. Many people will speak there.
On the occasion of Shivratri, special measures are being taken by the Sangh to ensure that devotees do not face any difficulty in worshiping Shiva. Monks and volunteers will assist the devotees.
