Kolkata, January 22, 2026: Like every year, ‘Kalighat Sports Lovers Association’ is going to organize a blood donation camp at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. This camp titled ‘Mega BLOOD DONATION Festival 2026’ will be held on January 14.
The blood donation camp scheduled for the 14th was formally announced at the Kolkata Sports Journalists’ Club. On this occasion, Babun Banerjee, the secretary of the ‘Kalighat Sports Lovers Association’, stated that this year marks the 27th anniversary of their club’s blood donation camp. This year, more than 2,500 people will donate blood. Babun also said that this number may increase further. Because many people are still registering to donate blood.
Club Secretary Babun Banerjee also said that they will try to organize this blood donation festival better this year compared to last year. Cricket coach Sambaran Banerjee was present at the press conference to welcome Babun‘s initiative. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee have already sent written messages welcoming this blood donation initiative.
Babun said that Minister Arup Biswas will be present as the chief guest at the blood donation festival on January 14. Dr. R.P. Banerjee will inaugurate the blood donation festival. The blood donation phase will start at 10 am and will continue till 4 pm.
