KOLKATA : A café named 'CAFEIVA' has opened on Canal South Road, Kolkata. This café was opened in the presence of Anupam Halder and Panchali Munshi, two joint commissioners of revenue department of West Bengal government. And actress Parmita Banerjee was present as a guest at the opening of this café.
This café is located on Canal South Road, near Durga House, adjacent to the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. In this café of 600 square feet, 24 people can sit together and eat coffee and snacks, according to the café. Chinese, Continental and Mughlai food is available here. At least 15 types of coffee are available.
Sohan Poddar, the owner of 'CAFEIVA', after graduating in management from abroad, decided to start a business instead of a job. And with that goal in mind, opened this café. Sohan was inspired by his father Sanjeev Poddar and mother Shilpi Poddar. Sohn said, he wants to turn 'CAFEIVA' into a brand. He wants to serve all the best coffee in Kolkata. He also has plans for fusion food with a mix of continental and tandoor for foodies. Sohan's father Sanjeev Poddar said that arrangements will soon be made to seat 15 more people at 'CAFEIVA'. Along with that, they also plan to open two or three outlets of Bengali food within five to six months.
