Kolkata : Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital successfully held its much-anticipated Cyclothon in honor of World Heart Day, promoting awareness of heart health and the importance of a physically active lifestyle. This year’s event, which aligned with the global theme ‘Use Heart for Action,’ saw the enthusiastic participation of over 200 cyclists. The Cyclothon commenced at 5:30 AM from Prinsep Ghat, covering significant locations in Kolkata, including Esplanade, Exide, Park Circus, and Golpark, before concluding back at Prinsep Ghat at around 6:10 AM.
The event was graced by the presence of Krishna Kumar Gupta, Chairman of Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, along with several esteemed doctors from the institute. The event aimed to emphasize heart health, encouraging people to adopt active lifestyles to prevent cardiovascular diseases, which are among the leading causes of mortality globally.
