Kolkata, 4th February, 2025 : 'Swami Pranabananda Vidyapeeth' has entered 50 years. Therefore, the students performed dance and song in the school premises on Tuesday.
Swami Biswatmanandaji Maharaj, General Secretary of 'Bharat Sevashram Sangha', Swami Bhajananandaji Maharaj of 'Kanada Sevashram Sangha' and State Youth and Sports Minister Arup Bishwas inaugurated the golden jubilee year of the school.
Besides, School Secretary Swami Sanghatmanandji Maharaj, School Morning Section Principal Supriya Talukder, Higher Secondary Section Acting Principal Moushumi Goswami and many others were present.
Swami Biswatmanandaji Maharaj said, 'Apart from general education, the school emphasizes moral education, physical education and co-curricular activities in order to develop students as ideal human beings.'
Minister Arup Biswas said that, he feels proud to have such a school in his constituency. These schools not only impart moral education, but also aim to develop ideal human beings.
Note that in 1975, an English medium school named 'Rasa Shishu Sandeepak KG' was started in Wireless Park area of Tollygunge with only 17 students. Later it was renamed as 'Swami Pranavananda Vidyapeeth' under the supervision of 'Bharat Sevashram Sangha'.
'Swami Pranabananda Vidyapeeth' became Junior High School in 1998 and Higher Secondary School in 2002. The school, run by the 'Bharat Sevashram Sangha', currently has a total of 150 teachers and teaching staff and 3,500 students.
