Kolkata : To commemorate International Women’s Day, Taj Bengal, Kolkata the iconic hotel in Kolkata, is hosting an exquisite art exhibition titled ‘Women In Art,’ celebrating the creativity, strength, and vision of artists, which promises to be a showcase of talent and inspiration. Scheduled from March 6th to March 14th, 2024, the exhibition will be held at the iconic hotel, a symbol of luxury and cultural heritage in the heart of the city.
The exhibition will showcase works of 21 talented artists across various mediums including renowned Kantha embroidery artist and Padmasree Awardee Pritikana Goswami, distinguished visual artist & filmmaker Aniket Mitra, acclaimed ceramic artist Partha Dasgupta, internationally celebrated photojournalist Saumya Khandelwal, painter Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh, esteemed Henna & Alpana artist Suchanda Banerjee, fusion artist Sunetra Lahiri, and artist Chaitali Chanda, among others.
‘Women In Art’ aims to amplify the voices and perspectives of women in the artistic realm. The exhibition will offer a diverse array of artistic expressions, spanning across painting, sculpture, photography, and more. Each piece will serve as a testament to the unique narratives, experiences, and insights of the participating artists, contributing to a rich tapestry of creativity and empowerment.
