Kolkata, June 27, 2025 : The Kali Puja structure puja was held in Kumartuli on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra. It was organized by the ‘Nabo Yuvak Sangha’. This Kali Puja structure puja, known as ‘Fatakesto’, is held at 511, Rabindra Sarani in Kolkata. This Kali Puja structure puja is held at the place where potter Mintu Pal made the idol.
On behalf of the ‘Nabo Yuvak Sangha’, Chief Convener and Organizing Secretary Prabhandha Roy (Phanta) said, “On the auspicious day of Rath Yatra, the construction of the Kali idol of our Sangha’s 68th year began with the structural puja.”
Potter Mintu Pal said, “The famous Kali idol, known as ‘Fatakesto’s Kali Pujo’, will be made according to the tradition.”
Apart from the members of the organization, Kunal Ghosh, one of the general secretaries of the All India Trinamool Congress and vice-president of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club; Sadhana Bose, chairperson of Borough No. 4 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation; Sanjay Bakshi, a senior leader of the Trinamool Congress; Sanjay Roy, a member of the Hindu Satkar Samiti; and social worker Anirban Samanto were present at this structure puja.
