A special calendar has been released to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the film 'Sholay'

Kolkata, March 05, 2026: Ramesh Sippy‘s 1975 blockbuster “Sholay”, with an impeccable screenplay by Salim-Javed, created a milestone in Indian cinema. The film created a stir across the country.

A special calendar named “Sholay Panchash” was released under the initiative of ‘The Dreamers Music PR Agency’ and presented by ‘Seram Group’. The calendar release ceremony was a surprise. Sidhu and Pata of the Bengali rock band ‘Cactus’ ware present as the two main characters of ‘Sholay’, Joy and Veeru.

Bengali rock band ‘Cactus’ has also crossed the 30th anniversary. On this day, Sidhu and Pata sang the iconic song “Yeh Dosti” while sitting on a motorbike. In this atmosphere, both Sidhu and Pata spoke about their love for Sholay.

Sanjeev Acharya, Chairman of ‘Seram Group’, who was present at the event, said, “Sholay still creates a good feeling among all of us. Seram Group has always been a patron of healthy taste and culture.”

Sidhu and Pata said, “It is a great pleasure to stand in front of the media cameras as Joy and Veeru.”
