Kolkata, 12th March, 2026: The Kidney Care Society in association with Nephrocare India, one of the most esteemed kidney care institutions in the country, observed World Kidney Day 2026 by organizing a Scientific Symposium aimed at spreading awareness about kidney health and prevention of chronic kidney disease. The event was held today at The Stadel, Kolkata.

The program aligned with the global World Kidney Day theme “Kidney Health for All – Caring for People, Protecting the Planet.” The symposium aimed to educate both the public and healthcare professionals about early diagnosis, prevention, and holistic management of kidney diseases. The event brought together leading nephrologists and healthcare experts who discussed important aspects of kidney health, including managing creatinine levels, delaying dialysis, redefining CKD care, and lifestyle interventions to improve kidney function.

The program began with an Inauguration Ceremony and Lamp Lighting, followed by the inaugural address by renowned nephrologist Dr. Pratim Sengupta. The session was also graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dilip Baidya, who addressed the gathering.
The sessions were delivered by eminent specialists including Dr. Pratim Sengupta, Dr. Tathagata Mukherjee, Dr. Sourav Sadhukhan, Dr. Prabhav Bansali, and Subhabrata Bhattacharjee.
