Kolkata, December 09, 2025: Tridhara Sammilani, one of the city’s most renowned clubs known for its iconic Durga Puja and impactful CSR initiatives, today, announced the commencement of the second edition of the Emami Tridhara 21K Marathon. Scheduled for 4th January, 2026, the much-awaited second edition aims to bring together runners from across the city and beyond for a spirited and enriching marathon experience.
The announcement press conference, was attended by Debasish Kumar, Hon’ble MLA, Rashbehari Constituency, Dr Nitesh Kumar, CEO & Managing Director, Emami Realty Limited, Amlan Basu, President, Tridhara Sammilani. Eminent footballers, José Ramirez Barreto and Alvito D’Cunha along with actor Anindya Chatterjee, were also present. Together, they unveiled the official jersey for the event.
José Ramirez Barreto and Alvito D’Cunha have also been named the official brand ambassadors for the Emami Tridhara 21K Marathon 2025.
As part of its broader commitment to community welfare, Tridhara Sammilani has undertaken a strategic initiative to establish a state-of-the-art diagnostic centre in South Kolkata, designed to provide critical diagnostic services including MRI and CT scans to underserved populations. To support this mission, the annual Tridhara 21K Marathon was conceptualised as the flagship fundraising and engagement platform.
The marathon will feature four categories – 21K, 10K, 5K & 3K designed to cater to professional runners as well as amateur fitness enthusiasts. With an estimated turnout of 5000 participants, this edition is set to mark a significant milestone in Kolkata’s running calendar.

This event is set to become a landmark in the city’s sporting atlas with carefully curated routes, exceptional arrangements and enthusiastic participation.
