Kolkata, December 04, 2025: Geeta Jayanti was celebrated on 1st December, 2025 at 6 pm at the Ramgopal Mancha in the century-old Howrah. The event was organized by ‘Debalok Socio-Cultural Foundation’ and ‘Howrah Samskrita Sahitya Samaj’.

Under the supervision of Acharya Anubhab Hazra, the entire third chapter of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita was read and reread, and the entire event was conducted simultaneously. People of different ages and professions from different districts of West Bengal read the Geeta together on this day.

Two yoga personalities Indrarup Raychowdhury and Kiran Mandal were present as guests on the event. In addition to the Geeta recitation, Vedic mantras, music and the greatness of the Geeta were also recited. On the auspicious date of Mokshada Ekadashi, Lord Krishna gave the Geeta‘s advice to Arjuna and the entire human community.
This event is organized to promote the reading of the Gita from house to house and to spread the message of living by following the Gita to every corner of West Bengal and India. Because the Gita can give the right answer to every question of human life and guide people to the path of peace.
