Kolkata, 2nd August, 2025 : A heartwarming and meaningful program titled “Aaj O Uttam” directed by Indrani Ganguly, founder of “Srishti Dance Academy”, was organized on 31 July 2025 at The Park Prime Hotel, Kolkata.
Photographer Anupam Halder (Joint Commissioner of Revenue, Government of West Bengal) was present as a guest. Also present were actresses Madhavi Mukherjee, Lily Chakraborty, Tapati Bhattacharya, actors Shankar Ghosh, Sadhan Bagchi, and Satinath Mukherjee.
The event honors the courage, dignity, and daily journey of transgender individuals, special children, and acid attack victims.
Regarding the program, Anupam Haldar said, “I grew up watching Uttam Kumar‘s films while I was in school. Bengalis learned to think in a different way by watching his films.”
Indrani Ganguly, the organizer of the event, said, “Mahanayak Uttam Kumar has been loved by people all over the world because of his talent.”
