Kolkata : The West Bengal State Committee of the 'Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular)' organized a reunion festival and membership drive. On Tuesday, November 5, members from various districts of the state participated in the event held at the Bharat Sabha Hall in Kolkata. It is noted that in 2015 Jitan Ram Majhi founded 'Hindustani Awam Morcha' after leaving Janata Dal United. Currently, he is the minister in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the NDA government.
The party fielded candidates in six seats in the last assembly elections in West Bengal. This party even fielded a candidate against Mamata Banerjee in the Bhavanipur by-election.
In the event, West Bengal State President and All India Spokesperson Shatdru Roy said that their party will work for the welfare of people associated with micro, small and medium enterprises.
They will meet Union Minister Jitan Ram Majhi in the next two months and inform him about the problems of the people associated with micro, small and medium enterprises in the state. This information was provided through a press release.
