Kolkata : On the evening of 'Bhoot Chaturdashi', '24 Palli Chetla Dashmahavidya Matrimandapa and Matrimurti' were unveiled for the public yesterday.
Swami Nirmalananda Maharaj of 'Bharat Sevashram Sangha', film director Gautam Ghosh and reciter Nandini Laha were present at the opening moment of 'Matrimandap and Dashmahavidya' puja. Also, Anupam Halder, one of the Joint Commissioners of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of West Bengal was present.
After the opening ceremony, Anupam Halder expressed his hope and said, 'I hope, darkness will be removed and light will come in everyone's life.'
On the other hand, Gautam Ghosh said, 'We have to keep faith, we have to remember, atheists also have faith in a particular way, so believers should not lose faith, they also have to have faith in themselves and society.'
Piyali Ghosh, on behalf of the organizers of the puja, said, 'This year marks the 46th year of Dashmahavidya Puja, although public Kali Puja has been going on here for 110 years.'
