Kolkata, 15th June, 2025 : The fourth season of the ‘Redwine Banganari Samman 2025’ was held on 15th June 2025 at the ICCR Auditorium in Kolkata to celebrate the glory of women.
This grand initiative aims to recognize the achievements of courageous, creative and struggling Bengali women who have played a leading role in society. This evening turned into a glorious festival. Eminent personalities from different levels of society, administrative officials, artists and cultural workers were present.
The list of honorees in the 4th season of ‘Banganari Samman’ in 2025 included Panchali Munshi (Haldar)- WBCS Officer and Joint Commissioner of Revenue Department, Government of West Bengal. Also included was Anamika Saha-a veteran actress of Bengali cinema, whose acting prowess has captivated multiple generations. Present were Shaswati Guha Thakurta-a popular face of television and film. Swagatlakshmi Dasgupta-a successful singer of classical and modern songs. Chaiti Ghoshal-an actress of the stage and film world. In addition, 13 more (Total 18 Women) Bengali women who contributed to the world of social work, education, literature, medicine, and entrepreneurship were honored.
Anupam Halder, Joint Commissioner of the Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal and model Sathi Sarkar presented the award to actress Anamika Saha on behalf of the ‘Banganari Samman’ organization. In this context, Anupam Halder said, “Standing on stage next to a legendary actress like Anamika Saha is a special moment in my life.”
On the other hand, Panchali Munshi said, “It is generally said that behind every successful man there is a woman. But in my case, it is the opposite. My husband Anupam Halder is my inspiration and comrade-in-arms. His unwavering support has helped me reach where I am today.”
The entire event was filled with life through light, shadow, music, and theatrical performances. The program was colorful with a mix of speeches and emotions.
This honor is a symbol of deep respect and recognition for the women of Bengal. This event once again demonstrated that women can become an indomitable force not only in the family, but also at every level of society and the state. This brilliant effort will undoubtedly be an inspiration to many women in the days to come.
